3x gold's amount

It should apply to all mission-related content but I seem to get amounts which aren't always multiples of 3 (i.e. 70, 122,...). How does this work exactly?

So, here is what's most likely causing that.

For certain rewards, the value of gold you get is tied to a range- say, (for example) you can get 10-30 gold for something. Once we do a 3x boost, you can get 30-90 gold for the reward- and anywhere in between!
